Abstract

This thesis is entitled "Political Strategies of the DPC PDIP East Manggarai in Winning the 2024 Legislative Elections in East Manggarai Regency." The formulation of the problem in this thesis is "How are the Political Strategies of the DPC PDIP East Manggarai in Winning the 2024 Legislative Elections in East Manggarai Regency?" The theory used by the researcher to solve the research problem is political strategy according to Peter Schroder, especially offensive and defensive political strategies. The primary data source is from informants, while secondary data includes documents related to the research variables. Data collection techniques used are interviews, observations, and documentation. The data analysis stage is conducted through data reduction, data presentation, conclusion drawing, and qualitative descriptive analysis. The research results indicate that (1) The offensive political strategy of the DPC PDIP East Manggarai in the 2024 elections in East Manggarai Regency is comprehensively designed by integrating digital campaigns, distribution of campaign materials, and direct interaction with the community. The party's structural strength down to the village level, an ideological and culturally based campaign approach, and the active role of candidates and their campaign teams are key in building public trust. PDIP's success is also supported by data-driven strategies, area mapping, and strong socio-political consolidation at the grassroots level. (2) The defensive political strategy of the DPC PDIP East Manggarai in the 2024 elections in East Manggarai Regency is characterized by a wide and militant cadre segmentation strategy and the party's ability to implement Marhaenism ideology through concrete programs such as "KTP Sakti." Emotional and social closeness between cadres and the community, along with training and financial support, strengthen voter consolidation. The direct perceived benefits of the "KTP Sakti" program also enhance voter trust and loyalty to PDIP. Based on the above analysis, the author concludes that both offensive and defensive political strategies significantly influenced PDIP's victory in the 2024 Legislative Elections in East Manggarai Regency.
