Abstract

This study examines the stunting alleviation policy network in Kereana Village, Botin Leobele District, Malaka Regency. This study uses Van Warden's theory (1992) using indicators consisting of (1) the number and type of actors involved, (2) their functions, (3) the degree of institutionalization of the policy network, (4) power relations within the network. The type of research conducted is qualitative with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the stunting alleviation policy network service is quite good and running according to plan. This can be seen from the indicators (1) the number and type of actors involved: Efforts to prevent and handle stunting in Kereana Village involve various parties from across sectors who work collaboratively. The actors involved include the Village Community Empowerment Service (PMD), Botin Leobele District Health Center, Kereana Village Government, Village Midwives, Village Cadres and PKK. (2) their functions: actors in the policy network have clear functions, and complement each other in carrying out their respective roles. (3) Degree of institutionalization of the policy network: The stunting reduction policy network in Kereana Village has demonstrated a fairly good level of institutionalization, as indicated by a clear work structure. (4) Power relations within the network: Power relations within the stunting reduction policy network in Kereana Village are coordinative and participatory, with the village government playing a central role as a facilitator. Barriers to the stunting reduction policy network in Kereana Village include limited resources and low levels of understanding of stunting among some members of the community. The Kereana Village community is quite satisfied with the services provided in the stunting reduction program. Routine counseling, supplementary feeding, and mentoring from health workers and cadres help improve parents' understanding of the importance of nutrition for children. To increase program effectiveness, it is recommended that coordination between actors in the stunting reduction policy network in Kereana Village be continuously improved.
