Abstract
Manikin irrigation area which covers an area of 170 ha is an area that has water supply from Manikin dam. In the use of Manikin dam for irrigation often occurs imbalance between water supply and water needs. The excessive use of water for agriculture by farmers experiences the uneven water supply in ustream and down stream. In the upstream area water needs were still fulfilled while for the downstream area the water debit tends to decrease. In this study the analysis of water supply dan water needs was carried out by using the available data from 2002 – 2016. The water supply was calculated by using Mock model. Based on the result by using this model, obtained the largestQ80 dependable flow 0,266 m3/second on March and the smallest 0,074 m3/second on November. The water needs calculation was done by making two cropping patterns, those were paddy – paddy – secondary crop and paddy - secondary crop – secondary crop and changing some parameters like the numbers of planting seasons in a year. The water needs calculation obtained the biggest maksimum debit was 1,36 liter/second/ha and the smallest debit was 0,47 liter/second/ha for paddy – paddy – secondary crop cropping pattern. While for paddy - secondary crop – secondary crop cropping pattern obtained the biggest maximum debit was 1,36 liter/second/ha and the smallest debit was 0,14 liter/second/ha. The most optmimal result of the water balance calculation from two cropping patters which was tried with 12 alternatives for each cropping pattern was the alternative 8 on paddy – paddy – secondary crop cropping pattern which covers area of MT1= 56,02 ha with 32,95 intensity, MT2= 170 ha with 100% intensity, MT3 = 170 ha with 100% intensity, with the total of the plant intensity was 232,95 %. While for paddy - secondary crop – secondary crop cropping pattern, obtaind the optimal result on the alternative 12 which covers area of MT1=170 ha with 100% intensity, MT2= 170 ha with 100% intensity, MT3 = 78,78 ha with 46,34% intensity, so that the total of the plant intensity was 246,34%. Based on the study result above about two cropping pattern planning, can be recommended that the cropping pattern that has been option for Manikin Irrigation Area is paddy – paddy - secondary crop cropping pattern with alternative 8 which the beggining of MT1= paddy in the beggining of August with land preparation period (LP) on June, MT2= Paddy in the beggining of December with land preparation period (LP) on November, MT3= Secondary Crop in the beggining of April with land preparation period (LP) on March.
