Abstract

Widya Mandira Kupang Catholic University (Unwira) is one of the private campuses in East Nusa Tenggara, each year the number of students increases, demanding that Unwira has complete academic and non-academic facilities and infrastructure as a medium for the campus community. Also presented are Auditorium facilities for large-scale activities that have sufficient capacity to pay attention to the comfort of the acoustics and are equipped with a wide span structure system to be able to shade everything inside and strengthen the structure of the building itself. Therefore, it is necessary to plan and design the Unwira Student Center Building, because many campus activities are no longer active and even die due to the absence of supporting facilities and for active activities that need to be rented from outside. This plan uses a green architecture approach (Green Architecture) by applying two principles, namely; Energy saving / conserving energy, and pay attention to climate conditions / Working with climate, where the mirror of the buildings around the campus from the aspect of energy use is very bad.
