Abstract
Limited parking space at Betun Border Supporting General Hospital (RSUPP Betun) has caused problems such as vehicle congestion, parking difficulties, and reduced visitor comfort. This study aims to model vehicle volume and predict parking demand as a basis for planning hospital parking management. The research employed a quantitative approach with primary data obtained through field surveys on parking accumulation and duration over six days, and secondary data including building area, number of employees, and hospital capacity. Data were analyzed using the constant method to forecast parking demand for the next five years. The results show that motorcycle parking volume reached an average of 330 vehicles per day with a peak accumulation of 479 vehicles, while cars averaged 12 vehicles per day with a peak accumulation of 23 vehicles. The current parking capacity is still sufficient to accommodate vehicles, but the five-year forecast indicates potential shortages, particularly for cars. In conclusion, parking management should be improved through expansion or reorganization of facilities. These findings provide practical implications for hospital management in designing more efficient and sustainable parking systems.
