Abstract

Students often struggle with managing their academic tasks, which can make it hard for them to stay productive and keep up with their studies. This is especially true for students in the Computer Science program at Universitas Widya Mandira Kupang, where a fast-paced environment often leads to missed deadlines and forgotten assignments. To help with this, our research focuses on creating a simple and easy-to-use web-based task reminder system. The system is designed to address the common issue of students forgetting their assignments due to poor time management, heavy workloads, or just being too distracted. We started by figuring out what features students really need, like a straightforward interface, customizable reminders, and the ability to sync with existing academic calendars. The system was built using popular web technologies like HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript, making sure it's both responsive and user-friendly. Initial testing showed that this system helps students stick to their deadlines better, reduces the number of missed tasks, and overall supports their academic success. We hope this web-based task reminder will be a useful tool for students to better organize their schedules, manage their time more effectively, and achieve better academic results.
