Abstract
This research was prepared by Vebrianus Gadur (31119057), a student of the Development Economics Study Program, supervised by Mr. Daniel Taolin, SE. AMSi as supervisor 1, and Mrs. Enike Tje Yustin Dima, SE, ME as supervisor II. The title of this research is "The Influence of Factors on the Income of Coffee Farmers in Colol Village, East Lamba Leda District, East Manggarai Regency." The problem formulation in this research is: 1) What is the income situation of coffee farmers in Colol Village, East Lamba Leda District, East Manggarai Regency? 2) What factors influence the income of coffee farmers in Colol Village, East Lambaleda District, East Manggarai Regency? The objectives of this research are: 1) To understand the income conditions of coffee farmers in Colol Village. East Manggarai Regency before and after the pandemic. 2) To analyze the factors that play a role in influencing the income of coffee farmers in Colol Village. East Lamba Leda District, East Manggarai Regency. This research uses qualitative and quantitative research methods. According to Sugiyono (2018:334), data analysis in qualitative research involves a systematic process for compiling data from interviews, field notes and other sources so that it is easier to understand and the results can be conveyed to others. Quantitative data, as explained by Sugiyono (2015:23), is in the form of numbers or scores. This research used 83 samples which were analyzed with the help of the SPSS application. The research results show that the Production Amount variable has a partially significant positive influence on the income of coffee farmers. Meanwhile, the Quality variable has an insignificant partial effect on coffee farmers' income, and the Price variable has a partially significant positive effect on economic growth. Simultaneously, the variables Production Amount, Quality and Price show a positive and significant influence on the income of coffee farmers in Colol Village, East Lamba Leda District, East Manggarai Regency. The coefficient of determination (R2) is 0.798. These results indicate that variables such as production, selling price and quality together explain around 79.8% of the variation in income of coffee farmers in Colol Village, East Lambaleda District, East Manggarai Regency. The remaining 20.2% was influenced by other factors not examined in this study. Based on the results of this research, it is recommended that coffee farmers in Colol Village, East Lamba Leda District. East Manggarai Regency. consider selling their coffee products directly to consumers without going through intermediaries. This is expected to increase farmers' income by getting higher prices. Apart from that, an effective marketing system is needed to increase the selling value of coffee, which will have a positive impact on farmers' income.
