Abstract

Pencak silat is a self-defense training activity with the aim of preserving Indonesia's cultural riches. The organization that oversees this activity is the Indonesian Pencak Silat Association, and is run by the Ngada Branch of the Perisai Diri Pencak Silat College, especially the Bajawa branch. Perisai Diri Bajawa has 88 members with 70 active members. Currently, the athlete selection process is carried out conventionally which results in several problems such as missing data and ineffective report management. Another problem is that the selection process is only selected based on the identity of the member who first provides personal data, so this can have an impact on the selection being still subjective and can be detrimental to other prospective athletes who have better competence. The method used in making this decision is Profile Matching. Profile Matching is a decision making mechanism that assumes that there is an ideal level of predictor variables that must be met by the subject under study. The results of this research are able to provide convenience in the assessment process according to the assessment standards presented, this system can also be accessed online so that athletes can view information on assessment results via the internet.
