Abstract

The research in this paper aims to produce guided inquiry-based physics learningdevices on the subject matter of temperature and heat. Learning tools needed in managingteaching and learning can be in the form of: syllabus, Learning Implementation Plan(RPP), Student Activity Sheet (LKS), teaching materials. In guided inquiry learning, theteacher guides students to carry out activities by giving initialquestions and directingthem to a discussion and conducting experiments. In this scientific paper the device isdeveloped using research and development methods. The procedure for developing thislearning device was adapted from the development model according to Borg and Gall(1979). Sukmadinata (2006: 184) modified the ten steps of the Borg and Gall researchand development in three steps, namely preliminary studies, product development, andproduct testing. Measuring instruments used in this scientificpaper are researchinstruments in the form of validation sheets. This validation sheet is used to obtaininformation about the quality of learning tools based on the assessment of expertvalidators.
