Abstract

The method used was an exploratory method by making 5 plots that had measurement 5m x 5m in each location. Arthropod sampling was taken by using pitfall trap, insect net, and hand sorting techniques. Then, collected samples were identified and analyzed based on Shannon-Wiener diversity index, Richness index, Important Value Index, Evenness Index, and Jaccard Similarity Index. The results showed that there were 31 species of arthropods found in peanut field and they belong to 15 families of 9 orders and 2 classes. In rice bean farm, there were 29 species that belong to 18 families of 10 orders and 2 classes. Species richness index and diversity index of arthropod species in both fields were classified as moderate (Dmg = 6.323; H '= 2.832; and Dmg = 5.849; H' = 2.732). Peanut farm was dominated by Myrmica rubra (INP = 35.109%) while rice bean farm was dominated by Irydomirmex anceps (INP = 30.833%). Evenness index for both farms showed the distribution evenly (0.825 and 0.812) while the jaccard species similarity index for both fields was low (30%) (Cj approaches 0).
