The Yellow-crested Cockatoo (Cacatua sulphurea) is currently in a critical status (Critically endangered). The Cockatoo research in Lembata was last sixteen years ago, where it was not directly the cockatoos but data through community information. This research is therefore important to do. The purpose of this research is to know the status of population and habitat used by yellow crested cockatoos in Omesuri sub-district. The method used is combining semi-structural interviews and observations directly with the method of roosting. Parrot Habitat is recorded through information from the community and directly observation of nesting, roosting and eating. The results showed that small yellow-crested cockatoos in Omesuri sub-district were only in the village of Atanila from the 22 villages in the subdistrict. The Total number of individual cockatoos that have 16 tails divided in two kampongs is Ile Pu'e as much as eight tails and Wade is data as many as seven tails. Cockatoos often use dead Borassus flabellifer to nest in Wade and Ile Pu'e. The roosting cockatoos are Lontar (Borassus flabellifer), Lamtoro (Leucaena leucocephala) and sour (Tamarindus indica). Cockatoos eat the young fruit of the Kelor tree (Moringa oleifera), the fruit of the Banyan tree (Ficus benjamina), sour (Tamarindus indica), papaya (Carica papaya) and mango (Mangifera indica) are the most commonly eaten corn (Zea mays) around the garden belongs to the residents. The results of this research constitute the first and the latest data on the status of population and habitat of small yellow-crested cockatoos in Omesuri and Lembata Regency in general.
