Abstract

In the learning process at school,students do not just listen to teacher’s lectures or participate in discussions, but teachers must be creative in using models or learning methods to attract student’s attention indelivering a material in class. Motivation and student learning outcomes in class XI Circle material is still low due to monotonous teachers using the lecture method. These observations aim to improve student learning outcomes by applying the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. The aim is to improve student learning and achievement with a Problem based laerning model. Based on observations while carrying out Field Experience Practices (PPL) are still teacher-centered,students rarely ask quwstions even though teachers often give students the opportunity to ask questions about thing that are not yet understood Class activity is still only dominated by smart studend , Students in class only XI can only work on the exact problem with the example given by the teacher. Students find this material less interesting because it is not relevant to real life. This requires the teacher to use a learning model that chan make students more active and can understand the material provided. Based on the descriptions obove, the learning model that is expected to be Problem Based Learning (PBL).
