Abstract
The effectiveness of learning is learning that allows students to learn easily, fun, and can achieve learning goals as expected by a teacher. Suggestions for Discovery Learning is a series of learning activities that focus on students' ability to find and solve problems, critically, logically, and analytically so that they can formulate their own findings with confidence. The learning process by exploring Discovery Learning makes students actively in learning through the preparation of stimuli, gathering problems, collecting data, processing data, proving, and concluding. The main problems in this study are 1) How is the ability of teachers to manage learning activities by using the Discovery Learning approach on the subject matter Electrolyte solutions and non-electrolyte solutions for X MIA high of Muhammadiyah Kupang in 2019/2020. 2) How mastery of learning outcomes indicators using the Discovery Learning approach on the subject matter Electrolyte solutions and non-electrolyte solutions of class X MIA students of the Muhammadiyah Kupang High School in 2019 / 2020. 3) Knowing the completeness of student learning outcomes in the material electrolyte solution and non-electrolyte solutions of class X MIA students of SMA Muhammadiyah Kupang in the 2019/2020. Types of quantitative descriptive research, research subjects teachers and students, observation and test data collection techniques, descriptive data analysis techniques. From the results of the analysis of the data obtained: 1) The application of an effective Discovery Learning approach for the subject matter of electrolyte and non-electrolyte solutions in class X MIA students of SMA Muhammadiyah Kupang in the academic year 2019/2020. 2) Completeness indicator of learning outcomes of knowledge and skills declared effective or complete with an average proportion of respectively 0.85 and 0.86. 3) Complete learning outcomes of knowledge and skills are declared effective or complete with an average proportion of respectively 86 and 87.
