Abstract

Creative thinking is a habit of thinking that is digging to liven up the imagination of the institution to foster new potentials to open up views that cause awe to stimulate unexpected thoughts. Contextual approach is a learning approach that links between the materials studied by real-life daily learners, both within the family, schools, communities and citizens, with the aim to discover the meaning of the material to life. The problem in this research are: 1) How to describe creative thinking skills and learning outcomes by applying a contextual approach to the material matter of heat and displacement class VII F SMP N 13 Kupang Semester academic year 2018/2019? 2) Is there any influence on creative thinking skills on learning outcomes by applying a contextual approach to the material matter of heat and displacement class VII F SMP N 13 Kupang Semester academic year 2018/2019? The purpose of this research are: 1) Describe the width of creative thinking skills and learning outcomes by applying a contextual approach to the material matter of heat and displacement class VII F SMP N 13 Kupang Semester academic year 2018/2019. 2) to find out the influence of creative thinking skills on learning outcomes by applying a contextual approach to the material matter of heat and displacement class VII F SMP N 13 Kupang Semester academic year 2018/2019. The type of research used is descriptive and associative research. The technique used for data collection is: observation, questionnaire and test. The data obtained in this study were analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferentian statistics. Based on the results of descriptive and associative analysisit can be concluded that students creative thinking skills are categorized as high and learning outcomes of students are categorized as complete. There is a significant influence between creative thinking skills and learning outcomes.
