Abstract

Problem-based instruction model is a instruction model based on the many problems that require authentic inquiry, namely investigations that require real resolution of real problems. The problem in this study is: What are the results of applying theProblem Based Instruction Model of Simple Plane Material to Class VIIIB Middle School Kupang Students in the Odd Semester of 2018/2019 Academic Year ? Specifically, this problem can be formulated as follows: 1) What is the ability of the teacher to manage the instruction process by applying Problem Based Instruction 2)How is the completeness of instruction outcomes indicators by applyingProblem Based Instruction 3) How do students respond to the instruction process by applying Problem Based Instruction 4) What are the instruction outcomes of students by applying Problem Based Instruction ? The purpose of this study was to describe the results of the application of the Problem Based Instruction Model of Simple Plane Material in Class VIIIB of Kupang Middle School Odd Semester Academic Year 2018/2019 . Specifically the purpose of this study was to find out: 1) Describe the ability teacher in managing the instruction process by applying the Problem Based Instruction Model ; 2) Describe the completeness of instruction outcome indicators by applying the Problem Based Instruction Model ; 3) Describe the students' response to the instruction process by applying the Problem Based Instruction 4) Describe the instruction outcomes of students by applying the Problem Based Instructional Model . This type of research is a descriptive if. Subjects in this study were (teachers) Researchers and students of class VIIIB of Kupang Angkasa Penfui Kupang Academic Year 2018/2019 totaling 32 people.The design used in the implementation of this study is one group Pretest- posttest Design. In the design of this study before being given treatment, students were given an initial test ( pretest ) and after being given treatment, students were given a final test ( posttest ) . The techniques used in data collection are observation, tests and questionnaires. Instruction tools used in this study are Instruction Materials for Students, Syllabus, Instruction Implementation Plans, Student Worksheets, Learner Discussion Sheets and Grids for Instruction Outcomes Tests. Based on the results of data analysis it is said that in general the ability of teachers to manage instruction that implements the Problem Based Instruction model which includes planning with an average score of 3.85 , implementation with an average score of 3, 83 and an evaluation with an average score of 3 , 91 is included in the good category.Indicators of product instruction outcomes with an average score of 0.8 7, indicators of affective instruction outcomes with an average score of 0 ,86 , indicators of psychomotor instruction outcomes 0,84 and included in the complete category. Product instruction outcomes average score of 0,85 , affective instruction outcomes average score of 0.86 , psychomotor instruction outcomes average score of 0, 85 is included in the complete category. And students' responses to instruction by applying problem- based instruction models the average score of 9 0.17 % is in the very high category. Based on the description above, it was stated that the application of problem-based instruction models of simple plane subject matter to students of class VIIIB of SMP Angkasa Kupang Odd Semester 2018/2019 Academic Year is optimal.
