Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the management of archives in offices. This research uses descriptive Qualitative research, whichisprovide an objective description or explanation related to the actual situation of the object under study. The data collection technique is using the interview method. The results of data analysis prove that the management of records management in thr office Imigrasi Kelas 1 Kupang not propely organized ini managing archives. Although there are still obstacles faced, namely the lack of knowledge and do not have the archival workforce to manage and organize records properly. But in the process of storing archives in indexing letters and research it is quite good because these employees use to systems, namely a special alphabet system for employee archives and a number system for incoming and autgoing letters, making it easier for them to find back the archives.Archives is a form of information that is recorded in order to help human memory and in the context of implementing government activities, education and implemention so that every time it is needed it can be precisely recovered quickly. Office is one of the private offices that is also inseparable from activities archives to support office work.
