Abstract

The purposes of this study are 1)To find out the description of the tourism sector in Kupang City. 2) To find out the number of tourists, the number of hotels,and the number of restaurants have a partial effect on the Regional Original Income of Kupang City. 3)To find out the number of tourists, the number of hotels, and the number of restaurants have a simultaneous effect on the Regional Original Income of Kupang City. This study uses two types of data, namely, the type of data according to the nature and the type of data according to the source. There are two types of data according to nature, namely, qualitative and quantitative data and two types of data according to sources, namely, primary data and secondary data. The data in this study were obtained from the Kupang City Tourism Office, Kupang City Regional Revenue Service, and the Kupang City Central Statistics Agency. The analysis used is descriptive analysis and inferential statistics with multiple linear regression test, classical assumption test and statistical test. The results obtained: Kupang City has tourism potential, and has two interesting tourist objects to visit,namely,cultural tourism and nature tourism. The tourism support facilities in Kupang City are hotels and restaurants. The number of tourists partially has a positive and insignificant effect on the Regional Original Income of Kupang City. The number of hotels partially has a positive and significant effect on the Regional Original Income of Kupang City. The number of restaurants has a positive and not significant effect on the Regional Original Income of Kupang City. The number of tourists, the number of hotels, and the number of restaurants simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on Kupang City's Original Revenue. Based on the results of this study, it is recommended for the Kupang City Government to continue to strive to increase the number of tourists, especially foreign tourists, by promoting and developing tourist objects. For hotel and restaurant owners to improve facilities according to tourist needs.
