Abstract

Expert systems are part of artificial intelligence (Artificial Intelligence) which consists of the knowledge and experience of many experts who are included in a knowledge base. Expert systems can help someone to solve certain problems. In everyday life, many types of poultry are raised by the community, such as broilers. Broiler chickens are mostly kept because of their large population compared to other animals. Therefore, the accompanying diseases are also increasing, ranging from minor diseases to diseases that can be transmitted to humans such as bird flu (Avian Influenza). Lack of knowledge of chicken diseases from breeders makes the cure rate for chickens very low, so it takes an expert in chicken disease, namely a veterinarian. However, judging from the finances and time of the expert, breeders are not necessarily able to use an expert. In this case, an expert system application is needed that can diagnose diseases in broilers. This is the main indicator of this research. Expert system applications built using the PHP programming language and MySQL database. The result of this research is an expert system application that can assist breeders in identifying the types of diseases suffered by chickens and how to overcome them.
