Abstract

As the capital city of Malacca Regency,the availability and quality of transportation infrastructure services in Betun City is very much needed to maintain trade, economic, government and various other activities. The problem is based on information from related parties, this crossroad has a very important role on the urban road transportation system, but this crossroad still has a relatively low level of road transportation safety because at this intersection there are no traffic control facilities, which triggers accidents and congestion. Factors that influence the risk of accidents at this intersection are opportunity factors and consequence factors. Based on the analysis results at this intersection, the reaction and downshifting distances are 7,29 m, the braking distance is below the average of 10,27 m, the average is 6,23 m, and above the average is 3,83 m, the minimum JPH is below the average 17,56 m, the average is 13,52 m, and above 11,12 m. The odds are below the mean 0,8542, the average 1,1111 and above the average 1,3489. Impact speed 44,93 m, impact speed 50 km/h, stop visibility is available 15 m, minimum stop visibility is 17,56 m, average speed is 45,83 km/h, average speed analysis when the driver sees the object is 25 km/h, the braking distance is 10,27 m, and the remaining brake distance when the vehicle stops is 2,56 m. The consequence of the impact speed analysis can be seen from the curve that 10% of potential motorists are anjured at this intersection with a speed of 25 km/h. Based on the risk of accidents, the probability of an accident is 5 (very close), the consequences are 10% with a value of 2 (small), so the risk that occurs in this store is 10 (moderate)
