Abstract

The objectives of this study were 1) To determine the effect of capital and price partially on the income of traders of roasted pork rice in Kupang City. 2) To determine the effect of capital and price simultaneously on the income of the seller of roasted pork rice in Kupang City. This study uses quantitative data because in its implementation it includes data, analysis and interpretation of the meaning of the data obtained, the data source used is primary data using a list of questions (questionnaire) with a significant level of 5%. There are 30 samples in this study then processed using Eviews 10 and analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis techniques and inferential statistics with four tests, namely classical assumption test, multiple linear regression analysis, hypothesis testing and analysis of the coefficient of determination (R2). The results of this study indicate that capital and price simultaneously affect the income of the seller of roasted pork rice in Kupang City, accepted a 95% confidence level. Partially capital and price variables have a positive effect on the income of the seller of roasted pork rice in Kupang City. With the results of the coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.812974 or 81.29%, the dependent variable income of grilled pork rice can be explained by the independent variables of capital and price, while 18.71% is explained by variables not included in this model. The adjusted R2 value shows a strong relationship between the dependent and independent variables that influence it. It’s recommended that traders be able to increase their business capital either with their own capital or through loans, to be able to increase the amount of merchandise so that the income they receive also increases. Most of the roasted pork rice traders have business capital that comes from private capital and joint capital which is classified as very low. For this reason, the Government and related institutions should facilitate capital loans or assistance in the form of KUR and PKH. So that traders can get additional capital to develop their business and increase their income.
