Abstract

This research was written by Theresia Liuk 311 16 127. The study Program in Economic Development under the guidance of I Mr. Br. Salomon Leki, SE,M.Ec.Dev and supervisor II Mrs. EnikeTjeYustinDima, SE, ME with the title “Analysis The success of regional development can be seen from the level of economic growth. High and sustainable economic growth is the main condition for the continuity of economic development. Non-ekonomi components such as population growth, labor growth affects economic growth. Population growth can encourage economic growth, but it can also be a barrier to economic growth. If the demographic rate of population is not well controlled iy is feared to have a significant impact on regional production. The formulation of the problem in this studi are 1) How population growth and labor growth are partially related to economic growth in the province of Nusa Tenggara Timur?2) How population growth and labor growth simultaneously affect economic growth in the province of Nusa Tenggara Timur?. The objectives in this study are 1) to analyze the effect of population growth and labor growth partially on economic growth in the province of East Nusa Tenggara. 2) to analyze the effect of population growth and labor growth simultaneously on economic growth in the province of East Nusa Tenggara. The type of data used is time series dat, namely 2011-2018. For the process of data analysis using multiple linear regression analysis with population growth (X1), labor growth (X2) and economic growth (Y). Data collection methods using library research and documentation. In this study the data were processed usingv SPSS 20, namely with four classic assumption test, multiple linear regression analysis, hypothesis testing, and determination test (R2). From the result of the study it can be concluded that the results of the t test or partially population growth variables have a positive and not significant effect on economic growth, labor growth variables have a positive and significant effect on ekonomi growth. F test result or simultaneously variable population growth, labor growth have a significant effect on economic growth in the province on NTT. The results of the Deternation Coefficient (R2) were 0.616, or 6,16%. While the remaining 38.4% is influenced by other variables not incluced in this study.
