Abstract

Meko Beach is one of the beach resorts located in Pledo Village, Meko Hamlet, Witihama District, Adonara Island, East Flores Regency. Meko Beach has shown beautiful exoticism from sunset and sunrise views to the heights that begin to emerge in the middle of the sea. Local residents named this natural tourist attraction Pasir Timbul Meko, because there is a sand dune in the middle of the sea like a small uninhabited island. Meko Island has an interesting phenomenon on Meko Beach, the white sand that looks a little pink in contrast to the turquoise sea color, the pink color on the Meko Beach sand comes from crushed coral flakes and there are no waves on Meko Sand Island, only ripples small sea water brushing against the soft white sand. The tourism potential of Meko Beach is not supported by recreational and tourist facilities such as lodging, culinary centers, ole centers and other facilities that are managed so that they can support tourism activities on Meko Beach. Therefore, it is necessary to arrange a community-based tourist area with a sustainable architectural approach to the conditions and climate on Adonara Island.
