Abstract

The population of goat deaths in Belu district increased dramatically during the 2015 to 2019 period, there were 369, this was caused by various diseases that often attack goats, both infectious and non-infectious. , intestinal worms, diarrhea, scabies, orf, pink eyes, mastitis, anthrax, poisoning, health, and nail disease. From the existing problems, the idea emerged to create a web-based expert system application to diagnose goat disease. The methodology used in making the application is the forward chaining method because of the problem with goats and can work forward to get a solution that follows the facts. This application uses the PHP programming language and MySQL database. The resulting expert system application can assist farmers in diagnosing diseases in goats and provide information about diseases and symptoms in goats to avoid disease without having to wait for a veterinarian to arrive. This web-based consulting application is able to diagnose diseases in goats and provide solutions and treatments that can ultimately reduce disease in goats in Belu Regency.
