Abstract

Tourism has an important role for the economic growth of an area. One of the tourist destinations currently in great demand by tourists is beach tourism, which is located in Central Sumba Regency. Central Sumba Regency saves a lot of cultural diversity and tourism. One of them is beach tourism that is so beautiful and interesting, namely Aili Maloba beach tourism which is located in the southern part of Central Sumba Regency. In general, we know that the waves on the south coast are very large, but at the planning location there is a bay so that the waves on the beach are very calm and have no potential for surfing sports lovers. coupled with the clear sea and white sand make the eyes even more stunned by the beauty of Aili Maloba beach it self. Therefore, the design of this design is to present an accommodation facility as a means to support tourism activities in the form of a coastal tourist area with an Architectural Regionalism approach where the concept is inspired by the local culture itself so that it can give the user the impression of local cultural wisdom. From the above, the principle of Regionalism Architecture is applied, namely the expression of the form of AML (Architecture of the past) integrated into AMK (Architecture of the present). which uses local materials with modern techniques, so as to create an interesting impression of the local culture of Central Sumba.
