Abstract

”The problems of the study are the following 1. What are the forms of Conjugation of Subject-Verb Agreement of Solor Dialect (SD) of Lamaholot Language (LL). 2. What is the time markers used in Conjugation of Subject-Verb Agreement of SD of LL. The objectives of this study are to identify and describe the forms of Conjugation of Subject-Verb Agreement of SD of LL and also to find out the time markers used in Conjugation of Subject-Verb Agreement of SD of LL. To analyze the data of this study, the writer used Descriptive method. The instrument prepared by the writer in Bahasa Indonesa is intended to elicit the conjugation of subject-verb agreement and time markers in SD of LL in the sentences. The writer just chose two people in Kalike village in this study as the informants, because the writer also the native speaker of SD of LL. The data of SD of LL were translated by gloss and idiomatic gloss into English. The writer took three verbs as an example in analyzing and describing the data such verbs include eat, go, and sell and only the verb eat was taken for analyzing the time markers of SD of LL. The result of this study shows that there is conjugation of subject–verb agreement and time markers of SD of LL. There are two kinds of conjugation of subject-verb agreement of SD of LL. 1. The conjugation of subject-verb agreement occurs in different form and sound of verbs of all kinds of personal pronouns as the subject in the sentence. The examples shown in verb eat representing other verb in SD of LL 2. The conjugation of subject-verb agreement occurs in the same form and sound of verbs of all kinds of personal pronouns as the subject in the sentence. The examples shown in verb sell representing other verbs in SD of LL. The Conjugation of subject-verb agreement of SD of LL relates to the personal pronoun functioning as the subject of the sentence. They are the first singular person goe ‘I,’ the second singular person moe ‘you’ (singular), the third singular person nae ‘she/he,’ the first plural person kame ‘we’ (exclusive) and tite ‘we’ (inclusive), the second plural person mio ‘You’ (plural), and the third plural person rae ‘they.’ There are some time markers in SD of LL. The time markers are shown in certain lexicons with their various different lexical meanings and the syntactic patterns position. Those time markers include 1. Mete-uli/mor ‘still,’ which mete placed before the verb and uli/mor placed after the goal. 2. Mete ‘while’ placed before the verb. Both of them mark the progressive action 3. Kae ‘already’ placed after the goal, which marks the perfectum action. The time markers of SD of LL are related to the time of action. Based on the finding the suggestion is offered to other researcher to do the study on other types of SD of LL of the Conjugation of subject-verb agreement in aspect, mood, diathesis, negative sentence and interrogative sentence.
