Abstract

Cattle is one of the animals that affect the economic potential in South Timor Tengah Selatan (TTS) therefore the health of cattle for farmers is very important Livestock sector is an important sector in supporting the economy in South TTS. Most TTS communities still rely on their livelihoods from the livestock sector, in addition to agriculture. However, with the disease that attacks cattle and also the lack of knowledge of breeders about diseases that attack cattle, will complicate 6 veterinarians to inside provide counseling with information totaling 7,071 farmers from 32 districts. In this study, expert system is made to diagnose cattle disease with forward chaining method. This system will be built using Adobe Dreamweaver application with PHP programming language and MySQL database. In this expert system the breeder will be asked the question by a system that includes the symptoms as a sequence of examinations. After answering the question, the system issued information on the diagnosis of the type of disease, symptoms of the disease, the solution and the way of treatment. This system can facilitate the veterinarian in providing information to the community in the form of diseases that attack cattle and how to handle it.
