Abstract

Water is the gotten from the sources of river , rain water, mountain water, sa water, and land water. One of the sources of water is water. Water denotes a situation when the land of water flows outside from the equifer to that land. Still have antropogenic that causes that reduces the quality of water it is wiith the contamination of Escherichia coli. The purpose of this study is to know the presence of bacteri Escherichia coli in the source of Weliman of Malaka Regency. Then will combined with the minister of health of the Republic of indonesia Number 492/Menkes/Per/IV/2010. The method that used in this study is Most Probable Number (MPN). The results showed showed that E.Coli bacteria were found at the first point of searching, and at the second and third points, no e.coli was found. It can be concluded that the presence E.Coli, that contaminated with the springs.
