Abstract
The formulation of the research problem is as follows: 1. Do credit risks and liquidity risks have a partial and significant effect on the profitability of the People's Credit Bank in Kupang City for the 2017-2021 period? 2. Do credit risks and liquidity risks have a simultaneous and significant effect on profitability at the People's Credit Bank in Kupang City for the 2017-2021 period? The objectives of this study are 1) To determine the effect of credit risk and liquidity risk has a partial and significant effect on profitability at the People's Credit Bank in Kupang City for the 2017-2021 period. 2) To find out simultaneously and significantly the profitability of the People’s Credit Bank Kupang City for the 2017-2021 period. The research was carried out using quantitative methods using secondary data. The samples in this study were six People's Credit Banks in Kupang City using the Purposive Sampling method. This study used the method of analysis regresi linear multiple with the help of the SPSS program version 23. The independent variables in this study are credit risk proxied with Non Performing Loans (NPL) and liquidity risk proxied with Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR), as well as dependent variables, namely the Bank's financial performance estimated by Return on Assets (ROA). The results of the study showed that: 1) From the results of partial and separate data analysis that Non Performing Loan (NPL) and Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR) had a positive but insignificant effect on Return on Assets (ROA). 2) Simultaneous test results were known to be Non Performing Loan (NPL) and Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR), have a positive influence on Return on Assets (ROA). and jointly significant to the Return on Asset (ROA) bound variable. In this study, R2= 0.925 which means that NPL and LDR have an influence on ROA of 92.5% and the remaining 7.5% is due to variables that were not included in this study. In accordance with the conclusion above, it is recommended that people's credit bank companies in Kupang City should pay attention to the assessment of credit risk and liquidity risk because the results of this study show that credit risk and liquidity risk have a significant effect on profitability and it is recommended to further increase lending to the public so as to maximize profitability , and the Financial Services Authority is more incentive in proper supervision in its implementation in order to obtain a small ROA.
