Abstract
This research was written by Kornelia Erwinda Meor (3118097). Development Economics Study Program, Faculty of Economics and Business under the guidance of Supervisor I, Mrs. Dr. M.E. Perseveranda, SE., M. Si and Advisor II Mrs. Emiliana Martuti Lawalu, SE, ME with the research title "Analysis of the Income of Women Ornamental Plant Traders in Noelbaki, Central Kupang District during the Covid-19 Pandemic". The formulation of the problem in this research is (1) What is the description of the Ornamental Plants Trading Business in Noelbaki, Central Kupang District? (2) What is the Impact of the Covid-19 Pandemic on the Income of Women Traders of Ornamental Plants in Noelbaki, Central Kupang District? The research objectives are 1) To determine the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic and to determine the income of women traders of ornamental plants in Noelbaki. The analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative with data collection methods through interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of this study are 1). Ornamental Plants Business as one of the businesses played by women with the status of housewives. This business aims to increase the family's income and to develop the hobby of ornamental plants. Women also have a dual role as housewives and also as breadwinners. 2). The income of ornamental plant traders in Noelbaki Village during the pandemic is different from before the covid-19 pandemic. This is based on the amount of income earned by the respondents through the ornamental plant business. The income of ornamental plant traders before the covid-19 pandemic was an average of 1,870,333, and income during the covid-19 pandemic was an average of 550,000, with a minimum of Idr 200,000 / month and a maximum of 4,500,000 / month. The variation in income obtained by informants is caused by the reduced number of consumers/buyers of flowers during the pandemic compared to before the Covid-19 pandemic".
