Abstract

The use of information technology has not been maximized, making the Faculty of Engineering, Widya Mandira Catholic University, Kupang less effective in managing data for new students and graduates, namely still using a manual system in which Faculty employees will type the data and then print it in hard copy (paper based) and analyze it. student data entering from each study program, both new student data and graduate data as a report from the dean at the end of each semester, where every academic year must be recalculated. Judging from the large number of new student data variables that must be analyzed, an information system is needed that ensures accuracy in the process of analyzing and processing the data so that there are no errors, which of course become inefficient and effective in terms of time and effort. In building this student data management system, the Waterfall method is used because it describes a systematic and sequential approach to software development, starting with the specification of user requirements and then continuing through the stages of planning, capitalization, construction, to the system maintenance stage.
