Abstract

The diagnosis disease expert system for children is an expert system that is designed as a tool to diagnose the type of tropical diseases, especially in children with a dynamic knowledge base. This knowledge is obtained from various sources including research and seminars conducted experts in their field and books related to childhood diseases, and herbal medicine. The knowledge base is structured such that into a database with multiple tables including tables of disease, symptom tables and tables of rules to facilitate the performance of the system in conclusion. Drawing conclusions in this expert system uses forward chaining inference method. This expert system will feature a selection of symptoms that can be selected by the user, where each option symptoms will bring the user to the choice of the next symptom to get the final result. At the end result will feature a selection of the expert system user symptoms, types of illness, causes and countermeasures using herbal or traditional medicine.
