Abstract
The Lamaholot ethnic group is an ethnic group in East Flores and Lembata which consists of Larantuka, Solor, Adonara, and Lembata. Lamaholot has a long history and also has a variety of arts and culture. With the richness of culture, of course it can be an attraction for the community to get to know the Lamaholot Ethnic and perpetuate and preserve the culture inherited by their ancestors. Therefore, the Lamaholot Cultural Museum is present as a facility to increase the value of tourism as well as a means of introducing the cultural wealth of Lamaholot as well as introducing and creating a variety of distinctive cultures and from existing tribes, as well as accommodating tourists and the public to know more about the distinctive culture of various cultures. the Lamaholot ethnic group. Lamaholot has a strong element in uniting its culture. To make it easier for the people of Lamaholot to remember and study history, a permanent historical information center is needed, namely a cultural museum. A museum is a building that has its own character or nature and contains cultural objects as museum facilities. From the objects in the museum to attract attention and the museum becomes a source of learning for every visitor. Larantuka City as the capital of East Flores Regency was chosen as a historical strategic location, as being in a complex with high historical value is also needed in realizing the design idea. In addition to harmonizing function and form, it also supports fellow historical areas. The Sarotari Urban Village area was chosen as the planning location because it is located in the middle of the city in an office area and is sufficient to arouse the interest of the general public, students, scientists, or even foreign tourists.
