Abstract

Number notation is the writing of musical works on paper that uses numbersassymbols. Reading notation numbers can open up opportunities, enrichsothat multiplies avenues for one to learn music more easily. However, at present, studentsdo not know how to read number notation properly and correctly because theyarealready accustomed to imitating the tone and poetry without going throughthenumber notation stage. This can make researchers interested in conductingfurtherresearch on Systems Of Reading Number Notationwith Solfegio And Drill MethodsFor Students Interest In Voice Choices Smps St. Don Bosco Aliuroba, Buyasuri District Lembata Regency. The formulation of the problem in this study is: Howdostudents read number notation with thesolfegio anddrill method for studentsofinterest in the choir of SMPS St. Don Bosco Aliuroba, Buyasuri District, LembataRegency. The researcher used a qualitative approach, field action research methods, solfegio and drill learning methods, and data collection techniques in the formofliterature studies and field studies which included observation, interviews, anddocumentation techniques. The results showed that the systemof readingnumbernotation using the solfegio anddrill methods for students of interest in the choir ofSMPS St. Don Bosco Aliuroba, Buyasuri District, Lembata Regency. This researchwas conducted in 3 stages, namely the initial stage of the researcher explainingthe material about number notation. The core stage of the researcher is to applyreadingnumber notation with the Thank You song model. The final stage of preparationand performance of the song Thank You. Based on the results of this study, it canbeconcluded that in the process of reading numeric notation systemstudents canreadquite well, but there are difficulties experienced bystudents. This can be overcomebythe solfegio and drill method
