Abstract

Public transportation is a means of transportation that cannot be separated from the lives of urban people who have no other choice in carrying out their activities. In urban life, walking is an alternative mode that is very low-cost in reaching activity centers, especially with mixed-used conditions in the downtown area. Walking in urban areas can be done with short distances (100-200 m), medium distances (200-400m), and long distances (> 400 m), the distance is considered based on a person's physical ability to travel and other needs related to pedestrian support facilities. foot. From this theory, the impact that will occur in unserved educational facilities is that there will be a long walking distance. The purpose of the theory is to determine the characteristics of the distribution of POI education and to determine the performance of public transportation on educational services in Oebobo District based on the POI index value. Comparison of pedestrian survey results from bus stops to POI Pendidikan. From 7 sub-districts in Oebobo District, it shows the distribution of POI education outside the buffer zone is 88.7%, where the area has not been fully served by public transport and for the performance of public transport in accordance with the POI index value is 0.42%, from the results obtained, it is necessary to think about starting route development, expanding routes and adding bus stops or public transportation service points.
