Abstract
Education is a learning process for each individual to achieve higher knowledge and understanding of certain and specific objects. The world of education in Indonesia is that has not been implemented as a whole. To find out interest in learning can be seen from a person’s for example from not knowing to knowing and from not understanding to understanding. One of the influences in creasing intereset and learning outcomes is textbooks. Thereore, the teacher’s role is needed to provide motivation in studying chemistry. There are many innovatin teaching materials that can be used to increase student interest in learning, one of which is a pocket book. The purpose of this study was to 1). To find out the validation of the pocket book developed on Stoiciometry material as Seminary Senior High School Rafael Oepoi Kupang, 2). To find out students’ interest in learning in Stoicihometry material by appling pocket book media. 3). To find out student learning outcomes on Stoichiomety material by applying pocket book media. 4). To find out how the relationship betwwen interest and student learning outcomes in Stoichiomtery material by applying pocket media. The instrument used in this study were validation Sheets by expert team, test sheets and question sheets by applying pocket book. Based on data analysis and conculusions that: 1). Validation of the pocket book developed on the material Stoichiometry at St. Seminary High School Rafael Oepoi Kupang was declared valid with an average score of 89%. 2). Students’ learning interest in Stoichiometry by appling pocket book media was stated to be very good with an average score of 91,57%. 3). Student learning outcomes on Stoichiometry by applying pocket book media were declared complete with an average score 80%. 4). The relationship between interest and student learning outcomes in Stoichiometry material by apllying pocket book media is a stated to be quute strong with the acquisition of a correlation coefficient (t) of 0,53 and the value of tang food or 22,6>2,178. Based on statistical analyisis, there is a significant relationship between interest and student learning outcomes by applying the stoichiometric material pocket book media studens of class X MIA SMA Seminary St. Rafael Oepoi Kupang for the 2022/2023 school year.
