Abstract

Pianika is a musical instrument whose sound source comes from air pressure. This tool has been taught to students in junior high schools, including at SMPN 10 Kupang. The problem raised in this research is how the process of applying the fingering technique for piano musical instruments with the song model how great to art uses imitation and drill methods to class VII students. SMP Negeri 10 Kupang. With the aim of describing the process of applying the technique of fingering a piano musical instrument with the song model How Great To Art using imitation and drill methods for seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 10 Kupang. This study uses a qualitative approach and the method used is the field action method. Data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews and documentation. The results showed that the application of the fingering technique for the piano musical instrument with the song model How Great To Art using the imitation and drill method for class VII students of SMP Negeri 10 Kupang was carried out in several stages, namely the initial stage, the approach with the principal and the cultural arts teacher, student recruitment. and set a training schedule. The core stage, explains the research objectives, explains piano material, provides etudes, and provides examples of fingering on piano musical instruments and playing model songs. The final stage, showing the results of the research. Obstacles experienced by research subjects in the research process were overcome by imitation and drill methods.
