Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of interest in learning on students' cognitive learning outcomes after applying teaching materials based on whiteboard animation videos. The type of research used is associative research with a quantitative approach. The data collection instruments used are learning interest questionnaires and cognitive learning outcomes tests. The analytical techniques used in this research are Validation Analysis of validity, instrument reliability, prerequisite test of data analysis. The results showed that the significance value or sig (2-tailed) was 0.772 > 0.05. Thus the results of hypothesis testing using Spearman's Rank Correlation in this study is that there is no influence of interest on students' cognitive learning outcomes after applying whiteboard animation video-based teaching materials. The conclusion is that by applying the whiteboard animation video, there is no influence of interest in learning physics on students' learning interest in physics learning.
