Abstract

The formulation of the problem in this study is 1) Does the level of education and health partially have a positive and significant effect on the economic growth of the people of East Nusa Tenggara Province? 2) Does the level of Education and Health simultaneously have a positive and significant impact on the economic growth of the people of East Nusa Tenggara Province? . The aims of this study were 1) To determine the significance of the effect of the level of education and the level of health partially having a positive and significant effect on the economic growth of the people of East Nusa Tenggara Province. 2) To find out the significance of the effect of education and health levels simultaneously having a positive and significant effect on the economic growth of the people of East Nusa Tenggara Province. This study uses secondary data, namely data obtained directly from the Central Statistics Agency in the form of quantitative data consisting of data on the Per Capita GRDP Rate at Current Prices 2012-2020, Education Level and Life Expectancy from 2012-2020, with a significant level of 5 %. There were 9 samples in this study which were then processed using SPSS and analyzed using panel data regression models and inferential statistics with four tests, namely 1) Classical assumption test 2) Multiple linear regression analysis 3) Hypothesis test 4) Analysis of the coefficient of determination (R2). The results obtained: 1) Education and Health Levels have a simultaneous and significant effect on Community Economic Growth. 2) Education and Health Levels partially have no effect but are significant on Community Economic Growth. With the results of the Coefficient of Determination (R2) of 0.052 or 52% Dependent Variable (Economic Growth) can be explained by the independent variables Education Level (X1), Health Level (X2). While the remaining 48% is explained by other variables not included in this study. With the results of this study, it is suggested to the Provincial Government of East Nusa Tenggara to make policies, both in the development of education and health infrastructure and free schools, free medical treatment for the underprivileged and so on that can improve the quality of education and health facilities so that it will have an impact on growth.
