Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of emotional intelligence and learning habits on learning motivation and its impact on the learning achievement of students of SMPK St. Famila Kupang. This research type is quantitative research with path analysis method. The sample in this study is a class of three classes taken by using simple random sampling technique. The data collecting technique used is questionnaire and test achievement problem. The results showed that: (1) There was a significant influence of emotional intelligence on mathematics learning achievement of students of SMPK St. Familia Kupang with a direct contribution of 32,947%. (2) There is not significant influence of learning habit on mathematics learning achievement of students of SMPK St. Familia Kupang. (3) There is a significant influence of learning motivation on mathematics learning achievement of SMPK St. Familia Kupang students with 17,139% direct contribution. (4) There is a significant effect of emotional intelligence on mathematics learning achievement through learning motivation of learners with big direct contribution 32,947% and big contribution indirectly through motivation learn is 4,423 %. (5) There is a significant influence of learning habit toward mathematics learning achievement through motivation of learning mathematics with big direct contribution is 0% and indirect contribution 2,951%. Thus to improve mathematics learning achievement learners can be started from within the students themselves such as increasing emotional intelligence, learning habits and motivation to learn to can good learning achievemen
