Abstract

This reach aims to determine whether there is influence of cooperative learning model of group investigation type with the method of recitation of the problem solving skills of mathematics students of grade VII SMP Negeri 9 Kupang 2017/2018 academic year on the subject of comparative valuation and value reversal. Data used in this research are pretest value data and posttest value data from experimental class in cooperative learning model implementation type group investigation with recitation method. The data obtained were analyzed using SPSS program version 22.0. before testing the hypothesis carried out the prerequisite test is the normality test for pretest data and posttest data. From the analysis results for the pretest data obtained sig value (2-tailed) = 0.061 > 0.05 and Dcounted = 0.170 < Dtable = 0.264 then receive H0, thus the data is normally distributed. Whereas for posttest data obtained sig. (2-tailed) = 0,079> 0,05 and Dcounted = 0,165 < 0,05 and tcounted = 10,070 > ttable = 2,06390, then reject H0, thus can be concluded there is significant influence in the implementation of cooperative learning model type group investigation with the method of recitation to the ability of problem solving mathematics students of class VII SMP Negeri 9 Kupang academic year 2017/2018 on the subject of comparison worth and turning value. The results of this study indicate that cooperative learning model type of investigation group with the method of recitation experienced to the students' math problem solving skills. Therefore, the authors suggest for the teachers to use cooperative learning model type investigation with the method of recitation in classroom learning in accordance with the material to be taught.
