Abstract
This research aims to describe the arithmetic problem solving. This research is a descriptive research with a qualitative approach. Subjects in this study are 3 students who have the same math skills. The data used is the test and interviews. The results of research from the three subjects FB, Mk, and FAT class VII SMP Ki Hajar Dewantoro Kupang that have the same ability to show on TPM 1 and TPM 2, the first step the three subjects were able to understand the problem. In the second step, there are 2 subjects planning a settlement which means being able to go through the step of understanding the problem. In step three, there are 2 subjects of implementing a meaningful completion plan capable of understanding the problem and planning the settlement. In step four, the three subjects was already convinced by the answer.
