Abstract

This research aims to knowing implementation of learning with approach metakognitif,and to knowing students achievement mathematics learning and to knowing whether there is effect approach metakognitifon achievement mathematics learning students for topic discussion social aritmatica in class VII SMPK St. Yoseph KupangCity academic year 2017/2018. This research was a descriptif kuantitatif study with the one group pretest-posttest design. The sample in this research is students class VII SMPK St. Yoseph Kupangwhich the numbered of students are 30 people. The instrument used including an achievement test and observation shit. Data used in this research are pretest and posttest value data from experiment class withapproach metakognitif. The data obtained will analysed using SPSS program 22.0 version. The test was analysed by normality test with using one sample Kolmogorov-Smirnov and hypothesis testing using paired sample test, after the data were analysed obtained value Sig.(2-tailed) = 0,000 < 0,05 and . The result of this research are: (1) implementation of learning withapproach metakognitifin class VII SMPK St. Yosephhave good category; (2) students achievement mathematics learning after with approach metakognitifhave good categories; (3) that there significant approach metakognitifonachievement mathematics learning student for topic discussion social aritmaticain class VII SMPK St. Yoseph Kupang City academic year 2017/2018. Therefore, the authors suggest for teachers to used theapproach metakognitifwas in the class according to the teaching material.
