Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out wheter or not learning style and academic procrastination effect students mathematic learning achievement at SMKN 2 Kupang in the arithmetic progression subject. Kind of this research is quantitative research by using inferensial statistic analysis with doubled linear regression method. Population of this research was all the students of Geomatika study program grade tenth of SMKN 2 Kupang in this school year 2007/2008. By using simple random sampling technique, the researcher got X Geomatika 2 as the sample. The researcher used questionnaire in collecting the data in order to get the data about learning style, academic procrastination and test about mathematic learning achievement. The data that had been gotten, was analyzed by using SPSS Version 22.0 for windows. Before examining the hypothesis, the researcher did some prerequisite test that were normality, linearity and multicollinearity test. Based on the output analysis SPSS 22.0 for windows, the researcher got result that normal distribution data had linear pattern and there was no multicollinearity. Doubled linear regression similarity based on the result of research was Y = 60,863 + 1,211 X1 - 1,419 X2. Hypothesis examination used partial examination, after the data about learning style was analyzed, the research got computation, tcount = 7,921 > ttable = 2.030 and significant percentage on learning style that was 0.000 < 0.050, therefore H0 was rejected, which meant learning style had significant effect toward mathematic learning achievement. After academic procrastination data was analyzed , the researcher got computation, tcount = -2,352. Negative symbol on tcount showed that effect that given was negative. Therefore percentage was ttable = 2.030 > tcount = -2.352 with the significant percentage was 0.024 < 0.050, therefore H0 was rejected which meant, academic procrastination had significant effect toward mathematic learning achievement. Hypotesis examination used simultaneous examination. After the data was analyzed, the researcher got computation Fcount = 36.453 > Ftable = 3,28 so H0 was rejected which meant, that there was significant effect between each variable and dependent variable. Therefore, it can be concluded that there were significant effect between learning style and academic procrastination toward mathematic leraning achievement of SMKN 2 Kupang in arithmetic progression at Geomatika study program grade tenth of SMKN 2 Kupang in the school year 2017/2018.
