Abstract

The main problem in this research is the profil of self-regulation graders students VIII SMP Angkasa Kupang in solving mathematical problems in terms of gender This type of research is a qualitative descriptive research. In this research, there are two types dats,ie (TPM) written test result and data from interviews on the subject of research. Goals to be achieved in this research is to determine the students’ selfregulation class VIII Junior High School Angkasa Kupang in solving mathematical problems. Based on the results of research and discussion can be concluded that the selfregulatory Profile anatara subject-sex male (LB) and the subjects were female (PV) have in common. Both subjects were able to meet the indicators to understand the problem and indicators of application of the concept. LB subjects and subjects PV able to understand the given problem and are able to apply the algebra operations appropriately in solving a given problem. When viewed from the profile of selfregulation, the subject and the subject LB PV in solving able to use the abilities and skills possessed by not only relying on the teacher.
