Abstract

The study entitled "The Effect of Leadership, Work Environment and Work Discipline on Employee Performance with Job Satisfaction as an Intervening Variable (Study at the Pantai Baru-Rote Ferry Port Service Unit )" was written by Ellya Soares Yuningsih, NIM 8112201016 MM, supervised by Dr. M.E. Perseveranda, SE, M.Si and Anggraeny Paridi, SE, M.Si. This study has the following objectives: 1) To find out the perceptions of leadership, work environment, work discipline, job satisfaction and employee performance at the New Coast Crossing Port Service Unit - Rote. 2) To find out whether leadership has a significant effect on job satisfaction of Port Service Unit employees New Beach Crossing - Rote. 3) To find out whether the work environment has a significant effect on employee job satisfaction at the New Beach Crossing Port Service Unit - Rote. 4) To find out whether work discipline has a significant effect on employee job satisfaction at the New Beach Crossing Port Service Unit - Rote. 5) To find out whether leadership has a significant effect on the performance of employees of the New Beach Crossing Port Service Unit - Rote. 6) To find out whether the work environment has a significant effect on the performance of employees of the New Beach Crossing Port Service Unit - Rote. The types of data in this study were quantitative data and qualitative data. Data collection techniques were through questionnaires, document studies, interviews and observation The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis using the SmartPLS application. The sample in this study were all employees at the Pantai Baru – Rote Ferry Port Service Unit. The results of descriptive analysis show that the variables of leadership, work environment, work discipline, job satisfaction and employee performance at the Pantai Baru – Rote Ferry Port Service Unit are quite good. The results of inferential statistical analysis of leadership have a significant effect on job satisfaction while the work environment and work discipline have no significant effect. on job satisfaction. Furthermore, leadership, work environment and job satisfaction have a significant effect on performance, while work discipline has no significant effect on performance at the Pantai Baru – Rote Ferry Port Service Unit. Based on the results of the research obtained, it can be suggested to the management of the Pantai Baru – Rote Ferry Port Service Unit Crossing - to improve leadership, especially on indicators of communication skills, courage and assertiveness, improve the work environment, especially on indicators of work atmosphere, improve work discipline, especially on indicators of punctual attendance. , increase job satisfaction, especially on indicators of physical condition and improve employee performance, especially on indicators of work time efficiency.
