Abstract
Thesis title: profile of student learning discipline in grade IXA SMP Negeri 11 Kupang and its implications for tutoring (a quantitative descriptive study for grade IXA students at SMP Negeri 11 Kupang in the academic year 2021/2022). The problem in this study is what is the profile of the learning discipline of class IXA SMP Negeri 11 Kupang students in the 2021/2022 academic year? and what are the implications of the learning discipline profile of class IXA SMP Negeri 11 Kupang for the academic year 2021/2022 for the tutoring program? The purpose of this study was to determine the profile of student discipline in class IXA SMP Negeri 11 Kupang in the academic year 2021/2022 and the implications of the discipline profile for class IXA students at SMP Negeri 11 Kupang in the academic year 2021/2022 for tutoring programs.The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative method. The data collection tool used is a questionnaire. The data analysis technique uses central trend analysis.The results of data analysis show X=109 and the value (µ = mu) is between X- (1.96 x GB〗 _¯X) - X+ (1.96 x GB〗_¯X ). So the minimum value at the 5% significance level is 77,248 and the maximum value is 140,752. This means that the learning discipline profile of class IXA SMP Negeri 11 Kupang students in the 2021/2022 academic year is relatively high. Furthermore, based on the results of the analysis of aspects of time discipline, discipline in taking lesson notes, and discipline in completing homework, it shows that class IXA students of SMP Negeri 11 Kupang in the 2021/2022 academic year have high discipline. Therefore, the researcher gives suggestions to: 1) the principal as the person in charge of the school is expected to increase his role as a leader and coordinator so that he can coordinate all school personnel to jointly assist students in maintaining their learning discipline. 2) Guidance and counseling teachers in schools, are expected to carry out their role as mentors and collaborate with all subject teachers so that they jointly help and encourage students to be able to maintain their learning discipline. 3) Subject teachers are expected to establish cooperative relationships with guidance and counseling teachers in schools and always provide information to guidance and counseling teachers in schools about students to maintain discipline in learning. 4). Students are expected to be actively involved in participating in tutoring services carried out by guidance and counseling teachers to maintain the existing learning discipline.
