Abstract

The thesis entitled “The Analysis of the Effect of Human Resource Competence and Leadership on the Employees’ Performance at Regional Financial Agency, NTT Province, with Motivation as Mediating Variable”, is written by Jabalnur Kanda, Reg. No. 8112192009 MM, under the supervision of Dr. Simon Sia Niha, SE., M.Si and Daniel Taolin, SE., M.Si. This study aims to know: 1) The description of Human Resource Competence (X1), leadership (X2), motivation (Z), and Employees’ performance (Y) at Regional Financial Agency, NTT Province; 2) the significance of effect of human resource competence and leadership on the motivation; 3) the significance of effect of human resource competence, leadership and motivation on the employees’ performance; 4) the significance o effect of motivation in mediating the effect of human resource competence and leadership on the employees’ performance at Regional Financial Agency, NTT Province. The sample in this study is 71 employees at Regional Financial Agency, NTT Province. The collected data are analyzed using descriptive statistic and inferential statistic applying Smart-PLS. The results of descriptive statistic analysis indicate that human resource competence is categorized as pretty good, leadership is good, motivation is pretty good, and employees’ performance is good. The results of inferential statistic analysis show that human resource competence has a significant effect on motivation, leadership has a significant effect on motivation, and human resource competence has a significant effect on performance. Based on these results, it is recommended to pay attention to employees’ performance, human resource competence, leadership and motivation. 1) The employees’ performance should be enhanced by providing opportunities for further education and training, so that the employees are able to produce qualified works, the employees should well master the information technology so that they will do their work fast and accurately. 2) the work motivation should be raised to enhance their performance. 3) The employees’ performance should be improved to produce qualified outcomes.
