Abstract
Inquiry learning is a study strategy that concern to the student (Student – Center – Strategy) where the students bring into problems or solve the problem to find out the solution from the questions. The ability of student in study mathematic through inquiry learning had showed when they able to finish the test and find out the solution by themselves. The problem of the statement in this study is how to apply inquiry learning to develop student achievement in learning mathematic in fraction subject of Seventh Grade students of class A in second semester of SMP Negeri 10 Kupang in the school years 2013/2014? The purpose of the study is describe inquiry learning in develop mathematics achievement in fraction subject matter of seventh grade students of class A in second semester of SMP Negeri 10 Kupang in the school years 2013/2014. The instrument that used in this study were (1) Observation sheet of learning management, (2) Observation sheet of student activities, (3) students questionnaire respons, (4) interview. These instruments was analyzed by descriptive analysis, to interview’s analysis by qualitative analysis. This study was done by 3 cycles. The result of this study showed that teacher able to manage learning activities well because all indicators was prepared were complete. The references that used to indicate individual competency standard was school’s standard that was ≥ 75 and classiscal was ≥ 85%. The result of the study in first cycle showed that the score from the students between 50 until 90. The average of the class was 68,79 dan classical competencies did not reach the target 37.93%. second cycle the result showed that the students got the highest score was 100 and the lowest score was 63. Class average was 76,66% but the target had not reached. In third cycle highest score had got by the student was 100 and the lowest score was 75. So the writer concluded that were all complete or reached the target. From the result of the study the writer showed that by done the cycles in learning mathematics all were good or could reached the target.
