Abstract
Iinformation and Communication Technology (ICT) brings changes in various fields including influencing the media landscape with the development of online media and ways of society consume media online. Society’s demands in consuming the latest events and information are classified as hasty and very fast. The media in packaging factual events into news must also be fast, precise and clear. This change requires the media to be able to attract online media readers in one way, namely the flow of news writing that is comfortable and easy to read. The advantage in news in online media is text that is easy to understand, writing style can be italicized, bold and colorful, can be included with photos, videos and sound. There is also a comment column for readers. For this reason, this study aims to find out how Likurai Online media produces online news. This study uses qualitative research methods with research objects, online media journalists Likurai Online, news texts. The results of this study indicate that in general, the flow of production and writing of online news is widely used by online media to attract readers’ interest by disturbing curiosity in the speed of consuming news. The production process prioritizes intrinsic or artistic value in speed, tenacity and accuracy starting from information retrieval, writing, editing and publication. The main purpose of producing and writing news is to attract readers’ interest and trust, in order to increase the credibility of the Likurai Online media.
