Abstract
The existence of the Tua Reta Lou Dance in the Hewokloang community, Sikka Regency has experienced a setback. This is evidenced by the fact that this dance is rarely performed at community events. On the other hand, the lack of contribution from traditional dance studios in regenerating dancers is also a factor in the decline of this dance's existence. There are two problems raised in this study, namely 1. How is the learning process of the Tua Reta Lou Dance at the Bliran Sina Studio and 2. How is the presentation of the Tua Reta Lou Dance at the Bliran Sina Studio. The purpose of this study was to describe the learning process of the Tua Reta Lou Dance at the Bliran Sina Studio and to describe the form of the Tua Reta Lou Dance. The approach in this research is descriptive qualitative with the method of literature study field action research. Research data was collected through three data collection techniques, namely observation techniques, interviews and documentation techniques. The results of the research related to the learning process of the Tua Reta Lou Dance were carried out in 7 meetings. The form of the Tua Reta Lou Dance is described based on the dancers, the range of motion which consists of three variations of motion and three floor patterns namely the shape of a circle, straight lines and the shape of the letter V. Clothing, accessories and properties are described based on the categories of male and female dancers. Musical instruments accompanying the Reta Lou Old Dance are drums, bamboo and gongs. The age of the dancers, namely 25-78 years, is a separate obstacle in the process of casting motion. This is because the elasticity and flexibility of the body and the bones of dancers who are classified as elderly are difficult to form. However, these constraints can be minimized by using imitation and drill methods. The imitation method was carried out by the researcher giving examples using a slow tempo from the first meeting to the third meeting, then the participants imitated and performed the movements repeatedly until they reached a medium tempo and movement, in accordance with the original dance movements and tempo of the Tua Reta Lou Dance. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the learning process uses the Drill, Imitation method and in the presentation of the Tua Reta Lou Dance it is shown quite well based on the elements of wiraga, wirama and wirasa.
